You will have to have T-Mobile service for a minimum of 90 days and have added a card in the last 30 days before you ask for an unlock code. Going overseas is a good reason to want your phone unlocked. Don’t spill beer on the phone it will not work after that.
Make sure T-Mobile has coverage in your area, T-Mobile's coverage in not nearly as good as at&t and T-Mobile will not roam on at&t's network in many parts of the country.
