yeah well i have never seen anybody read that terms of service booklet that i give to all the customers. i am sure most of those people too were on the tdma network that att wireless had. the problem was Cingular really want to migrate everyone so they would send promo flyers out in the bills and then they would want the cool new phones but they had to switch plans. well they didnt have to get the phone or switch if there was nothing wrong with the old phone. but they would claim they forced me...not really. Cingular has always had an $18 upgrade charge so anyone that had att wireless that wanted to upgrade had to pay the $18 but if someone complained they waived it and they stopped charging all together in a few months after the merger or buyout...which when the people that got it waived want to upgrade their Cingular phone to a new Cingular phone are gonna be like you didnt charge me last time and throw a fit. but anyway also most companies that have you sign a two year contract and you get past the one year warranty and you choose not to have the insurance and you dunk your cell in the toilet and you goto get a new one get no contract sticker shock...but the people that had att wireless could be at any length of that contract and get a new phone at the 2 yr price so that was kinda cool but yes they did have to get a new Cingular plan but i would say most people had a lessor or equal plan. well i am done for now.....whew/
