Useless posts? Did you read what your reply was towards the OP's question? Had nothing to do with what he asked.. I think you're the one who makes useless post's and your post was most certianly 100% irrelevant to the OP's question.

Back to what he asked...

You can get a phone activated on Sprints network LEGALLY if it's branded by Sprint, and the ESN number is in Sprints systems... No exceptions on this guys.

Secondly, you CANT get a phone from a different carrier and have it activated on Sprints network. Once again, The phone wont be branded from Sprint, and the ESN number wont be in their systems.

One other thing, Sprint is a CDMA provider, meaning that there is no SIM card to just plug into the phone and start using it. VZW and Sprint are CDMA. Cingular/AT&T, and T-Mobile are GSM, which use the SIM card so you are able to swap phones.

If you buy a used phone from anyone, be it on here, ebay, locally, etc.. You haft to make sure it's not 1) A GSM phone 2) Branded for Sprint, not Nextel unless you want to use Nextel..

Hope this helps you out more than the next guy did... who's obviously just trying to get their post count up.
