Does anyone in Texas have Alltel and know how to

activate voicemail on my cellphone? I called Alltel and they told me to press *78 and send. It hangs up by itself. Then I was told to dial my phone number including area code and it would take me to my mailbox and I could then set up my voicemail features. Well I did and it didn't work. I keep trying it and each time I call my voicemail number back I get a busy signal.Ok!! I know how to get to my voicemail. That is not the question. I need to activate voicemail first before I can use it. How do I do that?
