Has anyone used Alltel?

I'm looking at their family plan...from the looks they will have decent service here. What do you think?

Well I went from Verizon to Alltel and really wish I hadn't. I never lost a call or had a decrease in service from Verizon, but I have a heck of a time with Alltel. My calls are all broken up, I've lost calls, and have even been told I'm roaming when I'm in my own house!!! I have 2 years left on my contract, then I'm going back to Verizon.

Well, Alltel and Verizon decided to share towers, so they get great coverage in most areas, considering Verizon has the largest coverage in the U.S., and that's a fact, not my personal bias. And Alltel plans are cheaper too. However, The free phones that Alltel offers kinda suck, as in no cool features, not functionality or reliability. But if you buy one of their phones, or you don't care too much about having a trendy phone, then its great.
