Would you buy an Apple cell phone?
Thin as a Nano, plays music, video, makes phone calls. Takes mega-pixel video and pictures. Its always connected to the internet. It can play licensed games from companies such as Nintendo. It would replace your mp3 player, phone, palm pilot, blackberry, gameboy, etc with one sleek device! Would you buy one for $400?

Although I love the thought of a phone that does multiple functions, the reality of it is all of the phones that I've seen with multiple features as what you are describing have TERRIBLE bettery life, are usually uninsurable with your wireless provider, easy to break (because of the size), and come back into the store because it will have software failure, etc. It sounds great to integrate phones, ipods, etc, together, but there are so many things that can and will go wrong with the handset that it wouldn't be worth the money. There is actually a phone that Cingular has out right now that can be used for all that you talk about, with the exception of the camera, that is a great phone. I use it, but do not use the mp3 player simply because I already have a nano and do not wish to deplete my battery that quickly. On this phone, you can go to handango.com and download licensed video games such as Mario Bros, etc. and play it on the phone. It's not even $400.... It's like $99.99 after a mail in rebate and two year agreement. So, I gues the answer to your question is: as nice as it sounds, no, I would not purchase that device.

Not a chance.
And I like Apple products, I have the new iPod nano, the Video iPod and the MacBook Pro. But the iPhone, too much vaporwared to even think about it now. Once it's here, then I will sit back and watch other people have problems. The _IF_ they get the bugs worked out and price it right I might try one, just not now. |

I wouldn't buy one even if the price came down to $300.

I'm not so sure. It' bound to have multiple bugs. Maybe later on when I've got some user reviews on battery life & a few other things.

I wouldn't buy one. If I ever got a phone that wide/tall, then I'd get one with a QWERTY. IF I were GIVEN one, however... I'd end up selling it on ebay! :p |
