Is that regardless of price? Or are you limited by a budget?

this is pretty hard to tell
it depends on how you use
3G models are great for tethering if your area has it
reception wise, SE W810i and nokia models are great

I agree that the w810i is IMO one of the best available choices for Cingular and for that matter t-mobile as well. The only complaint might be that the volume tends to be a little soft for the earpiece for some people. Some complain about it, others can't figure out why some complain. I guess its hit or miss with that phone. Nothing really that high end on nokia unless you want the e62 pda like phone, i'd stick with w810i or the cu500 as the best choices available. Stating a budget might help us with your decision.

I am leary of LG after my earlier GSM experiences and CDMA experience. I know my L1400 will get 0-1 bar where my nokia 6133 will bounce between 2-3 bars, and my 6030 will get 4-6 bars and the sound quality on the nokias are always better, the LG will breakup and have AMR artifacts in the audio.

True, its just the cu500 I think has some newfound software that allows for greater rf. I was amazed by how well it performed. No doubt that nokia is among the best for sound quality. Although I do find in a day to day experience that the 6030 is much stronger than the 6133 in the rf area.

If were getting a Cingular phone, it would be The Sync. Best for me, maybe not best for you. :)

I've heard good things about this phone with regards to rf and the 3g speeds, but for a power user, without the extended battery you won't get a long life out of it. I know they include two batteries but most of the intended purchasers aren't going to remember the second battery. Every time I tried to get it into someones hand, it was with the idea that the extended battery was going to be 50 dollars well spent.
