Remember the original AT&T, holding company of Ma Bell, is no more. MCI the company that suckered the US of A into breaking up the Bell System is no more. What happened to them? AT&T is now at&t formerly a *Baby Bell* and MCI is now part of Verizon a former *Baby Bell*.

When Verizon and at&t come back together TPC will live again. Then and only then will America have the best communication system in the world; One System, it works.

This is the AT&T that invented the transistor and laser, The Phone Company that gave America the undisputed number one communication (Bell) System in the world.

In the final analysis, it really does'nt matter what we think. The bottom line is that the AT&T juggernaut is like a freight train @ 60mph, it's going to run over anything in it's way and just keep on moving. As a former AT&T customer , then Cingular customer, and now back to (notice case change) the new at&t, it's all the same old telecom giant.

They can change the logo, lower the case, do whatever they want and they will still be highly profitable.

Pros, yes,
Cons, yes,

At the end of the day, if I'm getting decent pricing (and I am) and decent service then I'm ok.

Furthermore I have many more important things to focus on, things that I DO have control over to produce a postive outcome.

It's almost the same old giant.
It's just missing a RBOCs in the Mountain West and Mid-Atlantic/New England area. Maybe in 2084 this company will be broken up again.
