AT&T unleashes Motorola V3xx Gold
![]() If there's one thing AT&T's 3G offerings have lacked thus far, it's been a gaudy overabundance of yellow metal. Well, problem solved. The midrange V3xx has been re-rendered in a lovely gold shade, decidedly more flashy than the original gunmetal gray variant. Features carry over, meaning we get the same 1.3 megapixel shooter, microSD expansion, fabulous HSDPA radio, and just-can't-get-enough RAZR styling for the price of $99.99 after contract and rebates have been applied. Look for it in stores now -- or, if you're like us, you'll keep those wallets firmly shut for the maxx. |

This whole V3xxjxjxjj thing reminds me of the Palm OS debacle. The current version is 5.4.9 and is thought that the next version will be 5.4.999 and then 5.4.9999999.

i am not really a big fan of gold stuff but this phone doesnt really look that bad plus it is $49.99 in my store after discounts...and you can still get the gray...and if you want to save 20 bucks you can get the regular razr in pink, silver or black. but if you want a better phone in my opionon get the sync for the same as the v3xx (we nicknamed it the almost naughty razr) in your choice of black, dark blue or red...yeah.

I'm not to fond of that gold color V3xx. It has been getting some good reviews however so I would probably get it in either a black or blue color. They must be selling well for Motorola's online store because every time I go to their web site it always has this phone listed as out of stock.

The RAZR got so old after the Black one.
I wish Motorola would get over the ***AZR and come up with new products and stop beating this dead horse. Another thing I would like to see is implementation of 3G technology, Motorola is slacking off in this area just like Nokia. |

I agree with you here. Everywhere I look today I still continue to see people using RAZR's.

Sure, 50 million sold and counting, though everyday people ask me why shouldn't I buy a razor and I just put my head down and sigh. There is no gray area on the razor, people either have friends who love it or hate it. Moto needs NEW ideas, they are beating a dead horse right now.

i just read a report that i prob should at work that had a list of about 10 phones and it told the percent of calls by phone model not sure if i knew what i was looking at and how they can tell what phone it was...i guess the imei on the account but anyway the razr did the best...was kinda suprised. also if you get a different phone thru warranty or insurance they dont put the new imei on the account ....so all those supposed razr's may be someone putting thier chip in another phone...lol/

Well, it's probably because more people have the RAZR (of some sort) and that the RAZR outsells probably any other phone (or at least it did for years)! Statistically speaking, the country/world is so flooded with RAZR's, it should be no surprise that the most cell phone calls come from RAZR's! :p But in all honesty, the RAZR IS a pretty good phone that's 1/2 a step above "basic" by today's standards (it used to be state-of-the-art though). The reason that I (and probably a bunch of other people) have/use the RAZR is because it was CHEAP/FREE from the carrier, and it's THIN (great for slipping in/out of your pocket). Yeah, it does look "cool" too, but now there's so many other phones that look "cooler"... plus "cool" is a subjective term. ;) |

I recommend a good case for anyone that has a RAZR due to how thin it is, and can break very easily.

It's kind of ugly.
