Perhaps this tip was already published, but I didn't find it:

My E90 had a severe system crash yesterday: the phone could just no longer be started at all, so nothing "normal" could be done to restore it.

In this case, the only way to get out of this tight spot is a hard reset. However, how to do so is not mentioned in the user manual.

The tip is: press simultaneously and continuously 3, * and "send" (green) keys while reinserting the battery and pressing the "on" button. Of course you need at least six very flexible fingers in each hand to do this, but it works.

All data in the main memory is lost, but everything has its price...
