Problem with E90 front keypad

Hi Everybody, I have a Nokia E90 since Oct 2007. The phone worked beautifully until March 2008. Then the front Keypad packed up. It does not work and only displays 689 permanently and makes a sound like the keys are pressed. I thought it might be a sticky key but pressing them did not help. The fault will disappear when I remove the phone battery but after restarting the phone it will start to display 689 permanently again after a short time of usage. I have had the phone in for repair for the same fault now twice and every time it comes back as fixed (after waiting 4 weeks for it every time). I thought it might be the software on the phone but after a hard reset and deleting all the data on the phone the fault still exists. I cannot find anybody that has the same problem that I have and am wondering if any of you has experienced the same problem. Help would be greatly appreciated.
