Ok, just kidding, but yuck...I hate spiders.

I once had a frog jump out of my dash board, and onto my lap, and when I picked it up, it peed on me.
Yes...thats a rule, I think we should have tyty add that to the list of master rules. Spider conversations are not allowed for fear of making the members check under their covers!!!

Ha ha, okay. I won't tease you about it like I do my cousin. He's a grown man in the US Army, but if he sees a (you know what) no matter how big or small it is, he screams like a girl!

I have no problem with the teasing, I full on admit that something 1/100000000000000000 my size scares the living daylights out of me!!

Maybe so, but still... I won't be mean like that. We all have our fears of weird tiny insects. Mine... those flying cockroaches. Yuck. I'll go running out of a room so fast you won't even see me leave.

The weight of insects eaten by spiders every year is greater than the total weight of the entire human population.

On an equal weight basis, spider silk is twice as strong as steel. In addition, spider silk is very elastic. It is this combination of strength and stretch that makes the energy-to-break of spider silk so high. Simply put, it is the toughest material known. The silk comes from inside the spider's body as a liquid, thicker than water.

Spiders have 48 "knees": 8 legs with 6 joints on each.

A jumping spider can jump up to 25 times its own body length.

Gruesome, but true. Doctors in the 1800's in Kentucky documented many Black Widow bites on very delicate areas of anatomy. Seems the spiders liked making webs in outhouses because of the large number of insects attracted by the smell. Vibrating their web caused the spiders to rush in and investigate....... OUCH

and oh yeah, welcome to the site, GR , lets find some food !

Spiders are not insects. Insects have three body parts and six legs.
Spiders have eight legs and two body parts, the abdomen and the thorax.
There are more than 30,000 species of spiders.

Pagliacci's here in the Seattle area is the bomb. I also like Round Table and Garlic Jim's.
For frozen pizza, I like Red Baron and I love supreme pizza.
The best pizza, though, is free pizza. It's always nice when the company buys us pizza. Yay!

Right now, though, I'm thinking I need a giant bowl of Cookie Crisp cereal.

Aren't you glad you found your way here, GR? ;)
