Does someone know how to fix Display on L6 Motorola

Cell phone?? Unfortunately, my cell phone of only 2 months fell on the ground HARD and the display on the inside is broken and the bottom half of the screen is black. I wanted to know if there was any way I could fix it without having to go to the cell company (no insurance). I'm an engineering major so I'm pretty good fixing stuff but I need a little guidance. Thank you!
