I don't think so. USB cables are for transmitting data to the phone, not for charging.

As long as the plug to the phone is the same size, then yes; it will charge. Something like a data cable would work. Most new Pocket pc phones charge in the same manner.

I've had a Razr for a year now, and the answer is yes, you can charge from the USB connection, providing your PC is recognising the phone. If you're running XP as you plug the lead into your pc & phone, the found new hardware bubble will pop up, and as long as windows installs this ok, your phone will charge (the battery bar will tick). This is well handy, charge my phone at work this way. All the best, Andy

I second that. My v323i charges, provided it's recognized by the PC, via USB. However, USB charging is slow and if you're using data on the phone I'll bet your phone will go dead if it has a low battery even though it's plugged in.
