I just got a Moto KRZR K1m from Verizon on Saturday...I got it for the upgrade price since I had my other phone for like 3 years.....yesterday I bought a 1 GB micro SD card from Walmart and I barrowed my friends USB cord since i dont have one and I dont feel like spending $30.00 on Verizons Music Essentials Kit o_O. Anyways I downloaded the driver for my phone from Motorola.com and it said it worked but when i plug my phone in, it doesnt show up in Windows Media Player! Also, when i plug my phone in i get the found new hardware thing that says it cant find the driver for the phone, but it is downloaded! i have tried everything and its really making me mad.......So, anybody know how to get the phone to show up in Media Player so i can put songs on it? I know I dont need the kit from Verizon because there are other people on the internet that get it to work with a USB cable and Micro SD card and no kit.Also, i am running Windows VistaThanks for any info!

the phone will never show in windows media, the systems arent compatible. in fact, in most cases you dont even need any drivers to transfer files.all you have to do is plug your cell to your computer, the computer reads the new hardware. no need to bother with the driver, just click my computer, and the option to access your sdcard will show up there. then you can just transfer files the old wayif it doesnt work, the driver you need is the mobile phone tools (MPT) from motorola, and you need to install it 1st after downloading it, and dont forget to restart after installation's complete.sometimes you also have to update the software to make it work, just click the live update option (or something like it) on your MPT.hope it helps
