Wheres The Answer Key?
|
The screen is definitely a finger print magnet. I keep an extra Oakley microfiber bag/cleaning cloth around to wipe down the screen. But, unlike the KRZR, the RIZR itself is not a giant fingerprint magnet.
Most of the exterior, exposed bits of the phone with the exception of the keypad and sides are a metal covered with a nice rubbery grippy stuff, akin to the PEBL. I purposely didn't charge my BlackBerry last night so I would have to switch out to the RIZR this morning while the BB charged. Heh. So neurotic. I had a lengthy chat with my brother in law and his wife who are in Germany (he's in the Air Force, at least for a few more weeks) on my RIZR and it was great. Anyway, I am very much enjoying this phone, had it almost two weeks now. Promise I will write up a full review tomorrow between loads of laundry. Compared to the other Motos I've used extensively (four RAZR V3s, an L6, a PEBL, a v551) in recent memory, this is definitely my favorite. I think the UI and menus are much improved, considerably snappier, and with this phone I have come to the conclusion that I have yet to use a phone that didn't have lag in some aspect of its UI. Anyway, I've discovered that my battery door is not the culprit of one of my nitpicks, but rather the battery itself. It doesn't lay flat in the battery tray thus obstructiong the battery door's tabs from snapping into place. Odd, I think, so I am trying to determine a solution. It's a BC50 battery, in case anyone is wondering. Funny thing about phones. A few weeks ago my husband cleaned off the kitchen counter and a portion of it is the home for my cell phones. He laid them out on the dining room table and there were 7 phones (not counting the one I had in my hand) there. One dead, one for a carrier I don't use, one good for parts, one I never activated that actually isn't even mine (Helio) and two others that I have for my T Mobile line. I'm trying to get rid of some of them. Heh. |

Sounds like a great problem to have. When I hear this I think, must be a great phone if that's all there is to report! Cheers |

I get what you are trying to say here, but to many fingerprints marks on the phone takes away from its good looks. I know it's a phone first, but neatness counts a little too.

Wow! Those are GREAT pics (although sorta blueish) and a great preliminary review!
Can't wait until T-mo releases this phone so I can try it out! :dribble: :dribble: :dribble: |

I agree, and my "problem" is that I'm really a neat freak. I always carry a microfiber cloth in my briefcase during the week or messenger bag on the weekends. I get teased regularly by my friends as I'm always wiping the fingerprints off my phone, iPod, laptop, watch, etc. "think Monk" only not quite that bad.....:) |
