Some new hotness: MOTORIZR Z3
With the proceeds of a couple other phones, I picked up a RIZR from ebay, and thank goodness it arrived today.
I am head over heels in lust with it. Have paired it with my SE Bluetooth headphones ... woo! The screen is gorgeous for a TFT display. Call quality thus far is good. It was worth the wait. Pics below. More thoughts on the phone to come later. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Please please please talk to me about texting on that phone. My BIGGEST concern with sliders is that the bottom of the slide interferes with the 1,2,3 row on the keypad. This is a big problem with the 629 and the only reason I didn't pick it up. I love that phone but its so hard to type on it especially with the flat keypad.
I'd love to get some insight on it! I have seen the 5300 and I have to say, its one of the best sliders I've seen with regards to keypad access. Its a nice distance between the bottom of the slide and the top row of the keypad. |

My initial thoughts are that unlike the other two phones I've had that were similar in design (w600 and D870) is that the keypad is not as cramped. It's an issue some sliders are notorious for.
I haven't done much texting on it yet, but I feel ya on those concerns. I will get in some serious texting and let you know what I think. :) Is this RIZR not seriously hawt? Gosh I love unlocked and unbranded phones. |

Please let me know after some serious texting what your thoughts are. Thats going to be a decision breaker for this phone. I'd take the 5300 but the battery life is too short for my taste so the rizr is my last slider hope. Let us know your thoughts after a few days. |

Tis my 7130c that I do love quite well but seem to be in a constant search to replace. LOL.
From bottom to top: 7130c, Samsung T509, Inked Moto RAZR, and of course, the RIZR. I have not done much texting yet on the RIZR, but I am about to plug in my phonebook, which at minimum is going to be a daunting task. I am considering leaving my BB at home for two days and thus give the RIZR a full four day trial period. Then I can give everyone a fuller run down of things. I don't think I'll be ready to write a full review until next weekend. But, oh, I will, have no fear. ;) |
