Lightbulb How can I find out if my Moto v180 is dual, tri or quad-band?

I got it at a yard sale, and it was a T-Mobile contract phone, I have recently tried using my TMo2go SIM in it, and it works great. I was at Phone Scoop, and it listed this phone as being either dual, tri, or quad band, carrier dependent.

I looked on the Internet, and didn't find it, and it didn't come with a manual, so I can't read it, because I don't have it, it was $1 at a yard sale, and was just the phone, battery, and SIM, I had to get a charger at the dollar store.

I'll go check at Motorola now, and see if they have anything that will say.

Earl, what happened to Tinkerbell?

"Network Compatibility - GSM 850, 900, 1800, 1900"

I didn't find it in that manual. But thank you, Earl, for putting the pdf here for me to get. I also read that it is network dependent, I'll have to check with T-Mobile, it was a T-Mobile contract phone. They probably neutered it.

I was actually wondering if someone knew if there was a way to check it on the phone itself, some setting I don't know about.

You could hardly call spending $1 on it "buying it," LOL! A bottle of pop costs more than that!

So you are saying T-Moil removed the bands that can be used out of the US. Is the phone labeled T-Mobil? I understand TracFone castrating phones as they sell them below cost.

When the manual says *Network Dependant* that means if the network doesn’t use a band the phone can’t ether. It doesn’t it was removed. In New York there is no over the air channel 3, which is assigned to Philadelphia. Yet TVs in New York still have a channel 3 it just doesn’t pick up any channel.

That wasn't Tinkerbelle that was St. Michel the Arch Angel stabbing Satan in the head.

My guess is that Moto made different versions of the phone, and the tri- and quad- were too expensive for the t-mob.....
