...compatable with Nextel Walkie-Talkie? It does have a PTT but?

No. The Sprint phones ptt is "readylink" which is .....weak, to put it nicely. The only phones that currently use the Sprint network and are able to DC Nextel walkie talkie phones are the two hybrid phones from Motorola. Personally, I have sprint with mobile to mobile calling included, so I don't need a walkie talkie to call them for free.
