As someone who has used both lately, (at least around Chicagoland) Sprint has it hands down.

Really tell me more about chicagoland.....areas you are specifically finding good/bad service in. I'm in chicago as well and I'm giving Sprint some serious consideration especially if this unlimited deal comes our way.

I live around Fox lake currently. My dad lives on the north side near sheridan and touhy, mom in Gurnee, assorted cousins right across the wisconsin border, and other friends and family around Highland Park. I get to the South side for Sox games at least once a month in the summer. Basically I am everywhere in Illinois worth going. The last time I dropped a call, I was using Cingular. The only area that I don't remember having evdo coverage was around Oakbrook and Des Plaines, which I rarely travel to (whats there?). Even if the unlimited plan dies in it's infancy (hopefully not) I would certainly get onto a sero plan. Contact me and I'll hook you up right.

Coverage, coverage, and coverage. I know for some users on here Sprint works better for them and that's fine. Cingular beat Sprint in just about every place I traveled when it came to my own testing of both carriers in PA. Also Cingular is covered in more places than any other U.S. carrier.
