I don't post in the Cingular Forum any either. I was banned for 2 days without reason. When I asked a Mod why, they said it was for "bumping a thread" that I responded to with 3 "LOL smilies" and agreeing with the previous poster (one of the banned members on mingkee's list). After I was "released", I went back into the Cingular Forum and on the same day saw 2 other members "bumping threads" like I did. Both members were NOT banned like I was. Needless to say, they were Cingular users, and I was T-mo. If people want my help (or at least less-biased help from other members), then they can come to the T-mo Forum or to Cellphoner.net. PS: Interestingly enough, I was looking through the Cingular Forums today and saw a Mod comment on how they saw much fewer complaints on how Cingular service is in the Forums (especially in the SoCal area), which MUST mean service must have improved immensely recently. Ummm... yeah... I'm sure that had nothing to do with banning (or threatening to ban) a bunch of "unfavorable" posters from non-Cingular providers so they won't be able to post their comments/opinions/experiences or anything...

Absolutely, if there was one thing I learned from hofo mods, well the word "fair" hasn't lost its definition to me lets just put it that way.

I don't see why anyone should be looked down upon for the cellular service that they have. It seems to me that as long as you have service with the carrier in whose forum you are posting in then you don't have to worry about getting banned. But if you don't have service but just want to come there because you have some good information to contribute then you always have the threat of the BAN hanging over your head. I have service with TMobile and Cingular(back-up only), and I always feel like when I want to post in any of those forums that I have to be real careful on what and how my post is going to be perceived. I know allot about Verizon as well from having service with them for many years but I don't dare look in that forum.
I do think that, that site does have allot of good mods also who are open to a posters suggestions and does try to help. I posted a reply in the Verizon forum on this site without the worry of should I be posting here or not, as it should be. :) |
