I recommend that you take ALL of these links/websites (as well as any other advice you get) with a grain of salt, as some of the information on these websites may be outdated (check the review dates), or biased (may not be an impartial site or advisor), or have other interests in mind (like the salesman that's trying to get you to buy the 52" TV when you really just need a 32"). I strongly suggest for ANYONE who is interested in purchasing a LCD/Plasma TV, Cell Phone (and/or Service), or ANYTHING that is a long-term, "expensive" purchase to DO YOUR RESEARCH! Find out as much as possible about what you're planning to buy (which includes reading expert reviews, web forums, asking knowledgable people for advice, trying it out yourself before buying, etc), THEN MAKE YOUR OWN DECISION! Don't let others make YOUR decision for you! They have "nothing" to lose... but YOU do!

Pretty interesting, considering I had no idea what the difference was. lol
All I knew was the difference between reg tv and flat panel, but nothing beyond that.
