I think some members here are judged based on their actions at 'the other site' unfairly.
That's probably was started everything..

Just out of curiosity, what's "Warnings" and "Warning Level" that some people have? Do you get a warning when you've been penalized by a Mod or something? Are they temporary or permanent? Do they go away with time? How many do you get before you're banned? :confused1:

You know, I think some members who were previous members at hofo are judged unfairly on this forum. How about myself for example. I think there was a small and immature attempt to chastise me. Its funny when people who have zero contact with me before seem to feel that they are within their right to talk about things I said/did on hofo. I'll never retract what I said nor apologize to those I said it too. Yet oddly, none of the people affected by that have appeared on this board. Odd.

it should be warning point system I guess
that if a member violates the minor, that can issue warning points

The warning system goes as follows. Anyone who breaks a rule, will get a warning point. If you get 10 warnings points you will be banned for 7 days, unless perma ban is decided. After the 7 days your in the clear and ready to not break the rules anymore. If you get another 10 points you will be permanantly banned.

So just to clarify, do you have to break 10 rules to be banned for 7 days? Or is points up to the discression of the mods?

And just a suggestion, it would be nice to have something LESS severe for a first-time offender (depending on how serious the "crime" is). Maybe a 3-Day Ban can be the first step? Then 7-Day as a 2nd strike? Then permanent as a 3rd strike (you're out)? (Of course, if the offender did something really bad, then mods can always opt to skip the first and/or second strike.)

:bann:

EDIT: And I have another suggestion/request: When Mods warn/ban members, could they ALWAYS be required to give the reason WHY they were banned and link back to the specific post that got them in trouble? I know it sounds like a lot of work, but I feel this is necessary to prevent what I went through at HoFo (really confused what happened to my account and was about to make another until I realized I was banned... THEN confused what banned me until one of the mods was "nice" enough to tell me that I "bumped a thread"... THEN confused which post bumped the thread but got no response). Thank you!

Not at all. The rules over here are pretty straight forward, and I don't plan on breaking any of them. I was curious that's all.
