Why do HoFers keep getting banned here?

HoFoers do NOT keep getting banned here. People who are rude, demeaning, and disruptive keep getting banned because they keep trying to come back in under new names. They always get caught. It's probably actually only 1 or 2 "real" people involved.

People who have meaningful contributions to make or who are honestly seeking information are very welcomed here!

I (as well as many others I know) came from HoFo and I'm not banned (yet)... :p

not every members from hofo get banned, only some "unfriendly" members get in trouble
the rule of hofo is also applied here, right?
esp you're mod there, you should understand

I respectfully disagree. There is a stigma associated with HoFo (even mentioning the word HoFo has earned some warnings). I find this ironic because I was recruited over here on HoFo and I continue to contact members at HoFo to come check out Cellphoner.

I think some members here are judged based on their actions at 'the other site' unfairly.

While I understand and respect your opinions, but IMO I feel that (certain forums of) HoFo are more "strict" and "unfair" than here. Cellphoner.net seems pretty easy-going and more free in comparison... as long as you don't step on the rights of other members, convey yourself in a constructive way, and don't post any prohibited or excessively negative/provocative material/language in the forums.

WARNING: RANT BELOW! DO NOT READ IF YOU'RE NOT INTERESTED!

<RANT> I was banned for 3 days WITHOUT WARNING from HoFo by a Cingular Mod just because I agreed with another poster that Cingular is NOT better than T-mobile on certain things. (The other poster was permanently banned.) When asked why I was temporarily banned, I was told that I "bumped a thread" and that was all the response I got. (Ironically, after I was "let back into" HoFo, I saw 3 Cingular-users/posters do the EXACT SAME THING I DID in the Cingular Forum to support a pro-Cingular argument, but nothing happened to them!) On HoFo I've tried to only post constructive/factual posts that would be of value other readers, but I guess certain Cingular "people" in "power" don't like to hear what is true. To make a long story short, that's why I'm boycotting the Cingular Forums on HoFo, and I've noticed A LOT of others (who aren't Cingular Fanboys) are too... (either that, or they're banned). That is why the Cingular Forums seem so "positive" now compared to a few months ago, (ever wonder WHERE did all those original posters go, and WHY those particular forums seem so... censored? :idea: ). </RANT>

Yeah, well, I'm over "there" too still... except for the Cingular Forums. If HoFo Cingular posters want my help, they can find me on any other forum (mostly T-mobile), or here! :admin:

Well, when people post 20 pictures of naked men all over our board, we have no other choice but to ban them.

I only ban member when the guy post spam, scam, or X-rated pics
and watch what you're saying, don't give mods and admin hard time

A few TFSers decided to stir up a little fun, but we did our job and weeded them out. They had their fun, and its over, no big deal. We don't have a vendetta against hofo or anything.

Oh you did? I had heard that they were getting bored, ah well i don't usually keep up on such things anyway. :idiot:
Anyway, how go the plans for the N/A sub forums? Are their going to be any? Rogers, Fido, Telus, Bell then the various prepay spinoffs from the various carriers etc?
