I had Locas, but the airtime expiration is kinda short
Beyond has $15 refill for 60 days, that total $90 a year
and the international SMS is 8 cents/ea out, 6 cents/ea in
not bad at all
and since it runs at&t system, that I can get at&t coverage, perfect for backup

Can you use any unlocked GSM phone for BW or do they require you to use one of their phones like Tracfone and Net10 do?

I take that statement to mean that the SIM is unlocked for use in other GSM devices.

Beyond GSM also works in Cingular branded phones that are not unlocked. Coverage area is the same as GoPhone.

There's a poster at the "other" place named AG8000 who was giving them away awhile back, but I think he's out of them. I think you can also buy one on their website for like $10.
