Set Ringtone Once Uploaded
Hi,
There was a previous post that I am hoping to learn more about. I followed the instructions in the post, used a wave editor and then uploaded the edited clip as a text message and it plays fine. Now that I have the wave uploaded, how do I set it as a ringtone? I have the verizon krzr. Thank You. -Ecow |

Nwahs,
Thanks. I'm not sure about this one. The site I used to upload sent it as a text message. When I go to open the message it plays the sound file. I have been able to save the audio in "My Sounds" on the phone but I can't figure out how to move it to the Ringtones folder on the phone in order to set it as a ringtone for calls. When I look at it in text message form, it doesn't have any options to set as ringtone. When I go to Contacts and try to set a ringtone, it doesn't let me go to the My Sounds folder where this clip is saved. Any thoughts? Thanks. -Ecow |

My friends has Verizon (but a different phoen ) and it does her the same way. It will let her saves tones to her phone in the My Sounds folder, but not actually set them as a ringtone.

black ice,
Thanks for the info. So far no luck. I tried to send a 9 second wav file and it keeps saying the file is too big to try again. Also, what do I do with the jump code once I get it? Thanks. -Ecow |

Sounds Verizons way of keeping people from using 3rd party ringtone, and using their Get it Now.

Since I'm not having any luck with the jumpcodes - does anyone know of any software that works with the krzr? I got some software by Datapilot called pix n tunes but it doesnt seem to support the krzr. Thanks.
