I have a Samsung t609 and I do not know how

to change the "Permissions" on downloaded applications.? I have downloaded the Gmail application, which is considered a "game" on my phone, but I cannot use it since the "Permissions" on this application for network access, net access, auto invocation, etc... are "No, never ask" and I cannot seem to change them. Anybody know how?

This depends on what carrier you have. Many carriers prevent your apps from accessing the internet because they only want their apps to work on your phone. They claim it is for security reasons, but it is because they want only apps that they sell you to be able to connect to the internet. Your best bet on this one would be to call Customer Care and talk to them about it. It is 611 from most phones.

The T-Series Samsungs from T-Mobile have had it disabled. No app net access.
