Sadly, I haven't had any luck with Samsungs reception, although I did find that their UI was OK to navigate through. My Motorola V195 is the best reception phone so far in my area for TMobile service.

I've always loved my Samsungs. They got much better reception than some of the other ones I had...

Maybe it's just the area I'm in, but I've had a Samsung a620, an a740 (twice) and an a920. All 3 of those always got better reception than my Sanyo 8200, hubby's Sanyo 7400, my LG PM325. (just to name a few.)
I've had several different Nokia phones, and all of them had crappy reception. Like I said, maybe it's just my area, but that's been my experience. |

I think my Samsung a870 on verizon does alright, definately better than the CDMA LG's, and Pantech/Audiovox crap, but they still do not beat the Moto! |

Build quality is quite good and it feels solid, with no creaks. One of the best parts of this phone is the large, bright & clear display. One thing that I do not particularly care for is the BIG Samsung Logo on the Front of the phone as well as along the top of the display. Then of course Cingular has to add their huge logo below the exterior display so it has logos all over the place. Kind of like Japanese cars of the 80's. One of the best parts is the speaker quality for those times when you want to listen to music without using a headset! |
