Are you sure its not LG? I didn't know Samsung makes a 8500...but that is the name for the LG Chocolate. Dual band just means it will work in America, and that is it.

go to samsungs homepage http://www.samsung.com/ click support at top of page, then use the type 2 step by step product selection. you will have to go throw 4 drop down menus the 2nd and 3rd drop down answer mobile phone. then you will have to select your phones model number. there you can download a manual.
