Just verified by using a friend's Cingular SIM and making a couple calls. It will be unlocked after flashing it. |

Hello everyone!
I'm from Brazil and I have a D820. I bought the serial cable on ebay and patched it to get the 13 updates described. Everything went fine. However, I missed the most important part of my D820: the portuguese t9 feature. Now I only have english, deutsch and two more. Does anyone know how I can install portuguese t9? If I can't how can I flash it back to my original firmware with portuguese t9? Would I have to send it to samsung for repair? In case I send it to samsung for repair and it returns to its original state, I might consider installing some of the russian patches (at patches.sgh.ru), that wouldn't erase portuguese t9, am I right? But files are .smp, would I install the same way I did with the .cla file to flash it (using OneNAND)? Thanks, Gustavo |

Is there a way to update firmware without losing the IMEI now?
Also, if I revert to the t809 firmware, will that restore my imei? I want to be able to use my phone outside the US (specifically in South America). |

Would you be able to hex edit the firmware for the correct imei?
Would reverting to factory firmware restore the imei? |

I just recently flashed my phone with a usb cable. It has no input for an external power source, but it worked. I imagine that usb provided the needed power that the serial cable does not. This update works great, I'm not too fond of the new menu styles, although not too different. It's a small price to pay for the added use of the bluetooth stereo headphones I bought specifically for this phone!

I flashed my phone a while back, and did the little update as well, and I'm noticing now that I have every single one of those features except for the blacklist showing up in my phonebook. Isn't it supposed to be in there, or is it in settings somewhere or what?
