Actually I believe the blacklist feature may have been removed, i experienced the same thing....
How has the high quality bluetooth been? Mine seems to cut out at times when using the HP bluetooth headphones |

It seems like the blacklist feature does not show up on the phones...sorry guys. I'll have to look into that but I doubt I can fix it if it didn't work the first time
And I have not been using the Bluetooth so I cannot report on that but people have reported that it does work well, although it cuts out at times. |

I flashed with the D820 firmware, I haven't done any of the updates. I can't receive any multimedia messages. I have tmobile, if anyone knows the send/receive settings. Thanks.

I answered my own question with a little googling! I have tried it and it works for me. This is only for T-Mobile:
MMS Settings 1) Go to your messages setting on the main menu 2) Select "Multimedia Messages" 3) Select "Settings" 4) Select "MMS profiles" 5) Select "Profile Settings" 6) Select one of the preset settings and adjust to the following: Profile name: MMS (again you can choose your own) Server URL: "http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms" (no quotes) Proxy: Enable Version: 1.2 (295 kb) Then select the GPRS settings tab IP address: 216.155.165.50 Port: 8080 APN: wap.voicestream.com Login/Password: LEAVE BLANK |

I just updated the firmware to my phone per the instructions, and my menus are messed up. Any ideas?

Exactly how are they messed up?

They are distorted versions of the T809 menus.
Also, I also noticed my java programs were not deleted and cannot be removed. They reappear after a shutdown / restart. |

I reflashed and the menus are fixed... however the java folder is showing the wrong size.

once again i'm adding another reply to answer my questions. after hours and hours of searching the web, i realized no one has found a way to get aim on the d820. there are a few java applets that you can use to connect to aim but i don't like any of them and they all seem to work poorly as well as the fact that using gprs kills your battery life. there is the suggestion that you can use SMS aim by utilizing number codes to chat but i personally don't find that convenient. i guess i'll just stick around and hope for an update to fix this. i wish we could replace the calander with messenger or something because i did use the aim messenger quite a bit when my phone had the t809 firmware. and as far as my top post about the 2gb microSD, i noticed in many posts you claimed that nobody has denied that it does work assuming it does.
thanks for all the time, help, and resources you provided nwahs keep me updated, I WANT AIM ON MY D820! :) :) :) EDIT: btw just curious, nwahs, do you think it may be possible that the D820 firmware has the messengers built in but just not enabled? I remember with my older V3i, aim never showed up in my menu but with some hex editting i got it to work. i kno samsung's aren't as easy to edit as the motos but just a thought... i would imagine it to be somewhat of this sort of scenario. it definitely has the capabilities, just a matter of sorta unlocking it maybe... idkkk ugh Last edited by ayman; 08-30-2007 at 08:05 PM. |

Ayman,
The lack of AIM on the flashed D820 was also a big problem for me. I used it a fair bit, and I really wish that it worked. I spent hours trying to get it to work. Hex editing is not an option as AIM is not installed on the phone in the first place. I looked into downloading it onto the phone somehow and nothing provided the answers I wanted. I searched through the Russian sites to see if they figured out a way to install a messenger client on the phone and it didn't work. Unfortunately, unless this changed recantly, AIM is not possible once you flash your D820...sorry to tell you. Also, I would say that I am 95% a 2gb card works in the flashed D820. I am using a 1gb now and it works flawlessly. I have only read success stories about the 2gb after flashing. I hope I helped...let me know if there is anything else I can do for you. |

Hmm, I see. So now the way I understand it is, the only way to get aim on our D820's is if somehow someone released a new firmware with all the current features as well as aim embedded in it. I've tried a few 3rd party java apps but I hate how it kills my battery and i also don't like the interface of any of them, as well as the fact that you can't minimize java apps and use the phone while keeping them active.
I guesssssssssss i'll just have to live LOL... but then here's another question I have for you, are there any updates to the t809 firmware? maybe if there is something like that available i can revert back to the t809 firmware. of course the update would have to have things worthy to make me go back to it, but like i said my main question is, do you know of any updates to the t809 over the original? thanks |

Hi, I was wondering if this cable would work: SAMSUNG USB UNLOCK DATA CABLE SGH D800 D900 T809 T629 T - (eBay item 330160519468 end time Sep-04-07 18:50:32 PDT)
It says it does NOT require a 9 volt battery which makes me a little iffy.. |
