2GB card: There is no verification that this card works, or does not. I would buy it at a store, where you could return it the next day if it does not work. The best I have for you is someone, on a forum, saying that it works, and no one saying it does not, making it likely, but not in any way, for sure.

The patch should work with FC3, but I don't know, and am not going to risk bricking (making it so it won't even turn on) my phone, and I would advise you do the same. The best version out now is FC1, so I would just use that.

The only way to make the center key customizable is to hex edit the file (Hex editing is going in and changing the 1s and 0s to make it do what you want...complicated stuff), which I know how to do with Motorola's but it is 1000x harder to do with Samsungs, and I would not be able to do it. IF somehow the Russians put a patch out that has this, I will be sure to let you know though.

I know those arn't really the answers you wanted, so I'm sorry, but its the best I can do. Hope you guys like your new flashed phones!

I proceeded with the flash, and it seems I only have about 60mb of free memory left. Is this correct? I believe the phone, at least with the t809 firmware, has 80mb free. Ive accounted for all the music files etc, but there are still only 60Mb of total user accessible memory.

There is 70MB on the original T809 firmware. Did you flash your phone to the FC1 software? Actually, mine is showing exactly 60MB of total built in memory. I did not ever notice this before. It may be due to some of the following:
A new skin
The flash menu
Pixel Viewer (so you can view Word and PDF files. T809 did not have)
More default ringtones and wallpapers.

In the end, it does look like the flash takes up 10 extra MB on the phone, but it does add in new features that take up space. 60 MB built in is still more then you will find on almost any other phone.

Did the flash go well for you? Try downloading Opera Mini, Google Maps, etc and see how all that new stuff works for ya.

Opera Mini works great, thanks for the patch. I have one last question, my java folder has the base games and applications, but it says that my java folder has 2900/8192 KB used, but the 3 games and opera mini do not take up that much(they probably take up about 1000 KB).

Mine says I have used 4444/8192 when I have really used over 6000...so I am guessing the memory gauge is a little off. I have over 10 apps, including a full dictonary, spanish/english translator, Google maps, windows live, opera mini, flurry, reporo, nimbuzz, and a periodic table, and I looks like I haven't even used 1/2 of it. Unless you are downloading 50 fair sized apps, you should be ok. Your bringing up some things that no one has figured out before, so thanks!

Regarding my problem in a previous post, the problem was indeed a bad cable. I ordered a new one and it flashed successfully.

** Start BINARY downloading...

** Start Downloading TFS file **

** Downloading Time 57:31 **
** (Total 77268965 bytes) **

:clap2: I'm glad it worked out for ya. I have heard of people getting some bad cables since they are not made by Samsung, but glad you got it worked out. Hope you are liking the flash.

Try restarting the phone...I have been getting some of this too, but over all my coverage has seemed to get a little better. If you need, I believe I have the original T809 firmware if you want to flash it back...I'll look into this more in the next few days.

I don't see why you can't flash backwards.. it's just rewriting the firmware file..

You can test if the battery has any juice left in it.. if you stick the ends on your tongue for a split second and the jolt is strong, you can use it again I suppose.. I'm reusing mine for the update flash..

Ok.. I've just flashed the phone with the update.. I believe it's D820XEFF1_-_V2 right? The firmware version confirms it too (*#1234#) but I see none of the new update options.. what's going on?

Sorry for the multiple posts.. I can't find the edit function..

I noticed that I have a few features like the green battery bar and the speaker without activation.. but I can't find the ones like store to existing contact or the time displaying during a call or editing the desktop elements of the phone.

I have not had time to update my phone yet, but I will in the next week.

Also, I have noticed the "limited service" thing too. You can either go out and buy a $30 prepaid phone and put your SIM in that for a while, or you can try to flash it back to T809 software.
