Well obviously the battery and power is not the problem! Its good to have experts around though...after we get this to work, it would be awesome if you checked back every once and a while (or even started posting here a lot) in case we had any problems you could help with. I would have to say that I think you should try a different computer. If that doesn't work, I will dig around and find you different versions of OneNand downloader, and the firmware...and see if those are the problems. Quote:
Does your phone turn on at all, even if its not plugged in. I really hope this isn't the case, but you might have bricked the phone (where it just doesn't work) but sometimes there are ways out of this. Try re-setting up everything...including the port on the computer that your serial cable is plugged into. The phone needs to be off and the SIM out when you do this...then plug the phone in and turn it on (make sure its 100% charged) give it a little time, as it some times takes up to a minute to get any reaction from the computer...if it still doesn't work...there isn't too much you can do other then mess around with it a little bit and try. You may also be able to send it in somewhere where they try to revive it, but that will cost you between $20-$50 |

Ok, I tried the other pc this evening with the exact same results. :-(
I will point out that the blue progress line reached the point of the letter "A" in the word download of the "download" button. This is the exact same place every time. I think i must have been here about 6 times by now. Maybe more... I get a good response each time the flash program is set up and i am able to STOP and EXIT the program without incident when in this apparent locked up state. The curser is still blinking in the text area of the program on screen at this point of apparent lockup. This time i watched the clock. The lockup or lack of progress occured right at the 2 hour mark. One additional hour did not progress anything at all. As for the phone however, when booted is left in the perpetual boot loop described by someone earlier. I see the splash screen from the boot up screen with some goofy colored bubbles or cocktail glass in the background. The model # and Samsung url are listed and it says Samsung in blue text at the bottom. This image flashes for about 5 seconds and goes away for 3 seconds then repeats forever... The only way to stop it is to pull the battery which still measures 4.12 volts. Reinserting the battery of course shows only the expected black screen until booted again in which case we start all over with the loop. I don't have another phone to charge this battery with, (this one wont charge either under the circumstances) but i am confident that it is charging with my wire hack... Perhaps someone can tell me what the voltage is on their battery after a full charge. I would think that 4 volts would be sufficient but maybe i'm wrong. The charger output is rated at 5 volts so I'm hoping ~4 is ok. I'm not sure i am able to offer any more than this. Hope this helps. At this point i would be happy with the stock t809 flash if someone can point me at it... (nope i didn't save it...) The working D820 would be nice though. |

I finally got my T809 flashed to the D820 firmware, but when I try to delete contacts from the phone book or try to set the phone lock, it asks me for a pin. I tried all three of the pins that I would've used, but none of the work. Does anyone know if the flash changed the pins to something else, or how I can reset/change them?

Ugh...your question pisses me off. I'm not pissed that you asked it, but I've been looking for a fix for this forever. I'm working on it, and I found one on the Russian site that might work. I hope it does. As of now...there is no way to change the message tone. But I will look for a fix for you...I really want to change the tone too... |

Now if I reset the phone, what all will I lose?

It might just wipe out the whole phone...everything on it, and give back the default settings....so I wouldn't do it if you have lots of stuff on there that you want.

Trying to get everything ready to perform the flash... I've seen a t809 "flash-back" file mentioned in this thread. Can someone post a link? Just want to have all my bases covered in case the flash doesn't work out for me.

Here is the link to a T809_full.bin file
The file should be in this project: Nwahs's T809 flash to D820 project Remember, CellPhoner.net (myself included) is just giving links and helpful info. Anything that happens to your phone, your self, your service, pets, or loved ones, is not our fault, but we will try our hardest to help you out with it. :headset: :innocent1: I hope it works for ya Alex! When your done flashing, if you could report back and tell us how it goes, that'd be great. Goodluck |

Is there any way to protect the media on the D820?
I know on my Samsung C207 there was an option you could check where it would ask for a pin to view like your pics, sounds, and other media. |

You absolutely have to be kidding me, I don't know the PIN2 password and when I want to set a new one, it asks for the PUK2, I don't know what that is. Does anyone know what the code is by default?
