mmm signal..i would recommend motorola...sanyo's are alright; however, the signal is not so strong...you'll get dropped calls and you won't get any signal in places where other sprint phones have signal (like elevators, classrooms, mm certain parts in the mountains or mmm a freeway surrounded by hills

wow i have a razr and i hate it
and i wouldn't buy a CDMA razr to save my life they have to many problems on sprint i would go with the M1 or the 8400 if you want a sanyo |

I pretty much get the same amount of bars with my Moto as i did with my Sanyo, so its a toss up for which one will be your best bet.

Both are pretty good in my opinion - I have more experience with Moto's and I know they can be modded, not sure about Sanyo.

If you're going with Sprint, my recommendation is to go with Sanyo. Moto's are CRAP, IMO... though signal is okay. Sanyo's are sturdy, reliable phones. I think they're hideous and I'd never pay for one, but I can still admit they're solid phones. Moto's, especially the little selection Sprint has, aren't worth their weight in grain, much less gold.

I have only had one of the Motos that sprint has but that was a long time ago. Since I have always had Sanyo and havent ever had any droped call issues.
I did have a signal problem in my apartment when I was living north of Denver. I only had the problem in the apartment but not in on the rest of the property. It was mostly because my apartment was connected to a barn and made of brick and tin. |

The topic of this thread is; "Sanyo is good or motorola?
Since this is such a general question comparing brands only, instead of a specific model of each phone, there is only one answer in my opinion and that is Motorola is the Clearly Superior Brand. Now if one were to compare specific phones from each manufacturer, then the task of identifying the best phone would be easy and the outcome might be quite different. However that's not the question here: So again I say there is only one clearly better brand and that's Motorola. |

Clearly? Heheheh... I think it would be more helpful to the OP if we backup our claims instead of just saying one way or another. Actually, no... I think it would be more helpful if the OP told us what he's looking for from a phone. That way we can suggest specific models, pointing out their ups and downs, to better help him or her make a decision. Just a suggestion :) Last edited by laursifer; 03-20-2007 at 06:01 AM. |

Now, now archer, when is the last time you have played with a CDMA moto made for Sprint? The OP is looking at Sprint phones, considering that Sanyos are exclusive to Sprint in the USA. I'm also going to speculate that the OP is looking at multimediaphones, considering that Sprint no longer pushes the entry-level C290. Reception is very close, Moto's have the style, hands down, and Sanyos are, well, better all around. The CDMA razr and krzr look great, have very good reception, but are slow, and a few of the functions either don't work as you would expect them to, or not at all. The sleekest Sanyo (to me) is the bulky M1. But they work. Very well. What good does the Moto styling do anyways when just about everyone has it? Just my .02

FINALLY someone who understands why I said Sprint Moto's are CRAP.
