Because of the compact design of a laptop you will certainly need a field service manual to even begin to take it apart and they are not usually available to the public. My advice is to leave it to a service engineer, you could end up with a scrap laptop.

Luckily this is one model where replacing certain parts is relevantly easy. Flip the laptop over and unscrew the holding screw for the DVD drive. You should now be able to slide it out and replace it with a new one. Dont forget to put the holding screw back in afterwards.

You should have a pre-installed manual and if so look under System Information and Click on the links. There you will find instructions and illustrations as to how to remove and replace the DVD ROM
