Browser locking up while on cellphoner
Any ideas why my computer locks up regularly when I'm on this website? It used to happen regularly at another cell phone discussion forum, but now not so much there, but very frequently here. I use Firefox, and when it happens there's the word "stopped" in the bottom left of the browser winder and the circle thing that says the page is loading just keeps circling the drain forever. I can't load a fresh window either - I have to reboot completely when this happens.

might just be alot of users on the site. but it also might be a RAM issue

I think I might be able to figure out what RAM stands for (random access memory?) but I have not a single tiny little clue what that means to my browser problems... Help!

Its probably your comp. We are running on two Dual-core Intel Itanium 2 processors.

it depends on hw much bandwidth the server has set aside for users browsing.
and ram helps you load pages faster have more than one window open at the same time

We get about 200gb a month to use. So far this month we have used... 1 gig

This site can't even compete with my new computer and Verizon FIOS Internet service. Notsmellyprepaid maybe you need a new isp. I'll send FIOS your way.

I'll admit I need a new computer probably - this one is 5 years old. But I'm confused why it doesn't lock up on anything except forum sites. My cable high-speed ISP is pretty good, and for $9.95/month, I'm not interested in swapping them out, lol!
