yup, when i bought my sc2 (not really a sport car, but somewhat looks like one :p ) the place had one that was tan and one that was red. I priced the insurance on both, let's just say i ended up with the tan.lol
the insurance was almost twice as much for the red.. the insurance guy said "well you're 18, buying a red car, and a boy! what else did you expect?" |

I think it's due to the fact that red on a car has always been associated with speed and therefore the insurance companies know in advance that accidents related to speed will drive the premiums up. Just a thought though.
