I would like to hear from anyone using an unlocked K790a.

well ive used 3 lol, so i think I can answer  , ive liked it, but i ddnt like the joystick and camera lens cover, screen is very bright and vivid, Pros would be the xenon flash and nice night pics, overall sexy phone, cons are the lens cover opens up in your pocked, and UI is a tad slow, call reception and quality is crystal clear.

Also it's thinner as the 790 is 22mm thick compared to the new K810 at 17mm thick. While it's hard to tell in the pictures, I'm wondering if perhaps they have fixed the issue of the lens cover opening up when one puts it in their pocket. In addition the 810 offers the new A2DP technology. Here's a link: Compare phones - GSMArena.com |

They each have a different keypad and the 810 is much thinner. According to GSM Arena the 800 was announched Feb 2006, and the 810 in Feb 2007, and not yet available. The reason I was asking about the k790a is because it's the only one with 860mHZ quadband for the US. |

yes i had 3 k790as, yes the k810 and k800i have similar specs just in a different shell, the k800i has been available for a while now, and is not popular here in the US at all since it lacks 850mhz, yes the k790a is the only one with 850mhz since its an "a" version, there are also other versions, such as the k790"i" which is triband non 850 mhz which is intended for Euro and Asian use, and there is also a k790c which is intended for China. the k800i is 3G triband GSM, which is not designed to be in the US at all, since it lacks 850mhz and lacks edge, compared to the k790a which is designed for US use which has 850mhz, hopefully that answers it, the k790 and k800 belong to one same family and have different versions to target different demographics, both have same specs, camera, UI and all that stuff, its just the frequencies they support, k790 is a non 3G k800, K800 is a 3G k790. :D
