i live in OKLA and we just had a tower put up in my town and will soon be getting EVDO Rev. A i can't wait to have high speed internet on the phone i will drop my DSL when that happens.

Are you planning on using the phone as a tethering solution? I can't' wait to see what happens when wimax comes to Chicago and I hope it will seriously give Sprint a desperately needed boost!

i tether some now but i would get a data card and that router so i can have internet on all my computers
wimaxx will be true 4G i can't wait but it is a lil soon for me to be talking about that

If I ever left T-mobile, i'd gladly give Sprint a hard look as I know they have a great reputation in Chicago. With wimax coming down the road that would be excellent as I am starting law school soon and until wifi is municipally built up i'd want the fastest data connection possible. Though my knowledge of wimax is limited is it truly a replacement speed wise for dsl?

just plain EVDO is a replacement for DSL in some places. right now the fastest DSL i can get is 3mb down :(.
but with EVDO Rev. A its about 2 times that atleast and i can get it at about half price of what i am paying now for DSL ;)
and wimax will be even faster and more reliable than EVDO

I'm really starting to get annoyed with Sprint on this, Damnit... I'm here in Albuquerque, NM which is bigger than Santa Fe.. and still nothing here in NM. What the crap?!?!?

I don't have Power Vision in my area, but still have to pay for it just cause I have the Fusic... just be glad you're getting it (or already have it) in your area.

nice. is it a reg. tower? my bro works at sprint and he says they hide them in weird places sometimes...like trees and stuff.

well I just looked at my drift and it was on 3g network and has been happening a lot lately but nothing staying for long

And you know what else will be funny? If some drunk tries to either burn it down and nothing happens, or tries to "chop" it down with an ax or chain saw, he'll be in for a nice little surprise.
