AT&T GoPhone Help
I have bought several Tracfones in the past and have decided that I want a real phone. The Tracfones don't have downloadable ringtones, games and graphics, text/IM and picture messaging, MEdia Net, etc. Anyway....I have several questions regarding the AT&T GoPhone. I grabbed the little booklet that gives you all of the information and I'm confused about several things. Under the rates plan they give you two options - unlimited talk and simple rate. Under the unlimited talk plan it says daily access is $1 per day ONLY on days you use your phone. Lets say I use my phone three days in one week. Does that mean I owe $3.00?? Also....In the anytime minutes column it says $10 cents per minute. Does that mean if I talk to someone for two hours does that mean I owe $20.00?? Under "Text, Instant and Picture Messaging" it says domestic text/IM is 15 cents per message/sent/received. Does that mean if I send four text messages I owe $60.00 plus the text messages I receive?? Under "Messaging Packages" it says to send 200 messages it would cost $4.99. What happens if I use up the 200 messages?? Under "MEdia Net" it says you can access wireless internet, mobile email and downloable usage for 1 cent per KB. Can you access the internet real good on these phones?? I don't want to buy a phone where you can't access the internet too good. As far as rate plans go....which is the better rate plan to buy?? Also....I noticed under the "Refill your account and keep talking" column it says refill denomination - $15 and under expiration period it says 30 days. Does this mean once the 30 days is up that I have to buy a new card?? I know when I had a tracfone you had to buy a card every month and I know to use these services it costs money but if it says that there is no annual contract or credit check, and no bills to pay or age requirements so how does paying for these services work?? Who do you send the money to?? Lastly....my grandmother had an AT&T phone at one time and she said that I needed a credit card to buy a real phone such as an AT&T GoPhone. Is that true?? Do I need a credit card to purchase a GoPhone?? I apologize for the long post. I'm just really confused and I need help.
