And so was mine. It's just not everyday you're reading about cell phones and suddenly sonone talks about buying a hooker. It was just random, that's all.
No need to be offended in any way.

As a previously innocent bystander to this conversation, I'm finding it hysterically funny that Pixie and Princess are the ones apologizing here!

This is from T-Mobil's site.

850MHz roaming allows T-Mobile postpaid customers to access roaming service in areas that previously were not accessible. Currently 850MHz roaming is not available for T-Mobile To Go customers.
I hate fine print. :dribble:

Cool

I never go anywhere anyway, so it has no effect on my phone service or use.

This isn't true at all. I use TMobile PP are there are areas that have 850 band roaming available. You seem to have a grudge against TMobile Earl, have you even tried TMobiles service? I see by your profile that you live in NJ, and I know for a fact having traveled to that state many times that TMobiles coverage is good there.

I just quoted what is on T-Mobil's site. Why would they say something that is not true; especially if it hurts sales?:hrmm:

I have a phone with T-Mobil as the carrier, so how can you say I have a grudge against them?

Well as was already pointed out to you in another thread, tracfones TMobile coverage area IS NOT the same as TMobiles own carrier coverage area. I received a text message almost a year ago that there was going to be PP roaming available on TMobile To Go, and shortly there after I have been in a few areas with poor TMobile coverage and my phone switched over to "Cingular" until my coverage with TMobile improved. That IS roaming. Now as for why TMobile has that on their website you can take that up with them. I got the impression that you had a grudge against TMobile by the way you keep putting them down in some of your posts.

Give me a home where the phone can roam.

This is what happened to me yesterday. I took a train ride under the Hudson River. I had a T-Mobil to go and TracFones on Verizon and at&t. In the tunnel only the Verizon TracFone had service. In the bowels of Penn Station I had service on the TracFones with at&t and Verizon. The T-Mobil had *no service*. I forced the T-Mobil on to the at&t network and got emergency service only. It would not let me make a regular call. No roaming off T-Mobil network in New York City. I could not ever call 911 on T-Mobil without forcing a switch to at&t’s network.

On the next trip I will take a TracFone on the T-Mobil network to see if it will let me use at&t’s network to roam.

About TMo and raoming and such, Tracfone's TMo uses the contract coverage area on T-Mobile. Prepaid T-Mobile uses almost all of that network. Except with prepaid TMo you get a LOT more features than Trac on TMo. Web and picture messaging anyone? Yes, Cingular is the only carrier that will let you have picture messaging or web on a Tracfone.

This Saturday I took a trip to Northeastern Pennsylvania. I took a T-Mobil To Go, T-Mobil pre paid and TracFones on T-Mobil, Verizon and at&t/Cingular. On the way out I took Interstate 84 and had coverage on all of the phones. The Verizon phone showed roaming as soon as I crossed the Delaware.

On the way back I took back roads and had no service on any of the T-Mobil phones. The Verizon TracFone phone worked fine on Cellular One’s network for voice, voice mail and text messaging. The TracFone on at&t/Cingular worked fine with no roaming on at&t’s network. All of the T-Mobil phones could pickup the at&t/Cingular network but would not permit me to roam even if I forced it onto the at&t/Cingular network.

The T-Mobil phones were both locked T-Mobil branded phones.
