How to request an unlock code for your TMobile To Go phone
To receive your unlock request, you must meet the following criteria and this criterion can not be waived.
* The account must have been active for 90 days and a refill within the last 30 days.
* You must have a contact name/and or email address
* Must have a T-Mobile phone number
* Only one Unlock code will be issued per active line within a 90-day period.
* IMEI must be provided directly from the customers handset (IMEI can be obtained by pressing *#06# on your handset).
*Handsets that were purchased through eBay, pawnshops, garage sales, or other sources must still meet these requirements.

To obtain your unlock code send the following information via email to: customercare@t-mobilesuppot.com , or call customer care directly to obtain the unlock codes. *When calling you are still required to provide all of the information listed below.

Information needed for unlock code:

* Account holders name (required). xxxxxxxxxx

* IMEI number (required) press *#06# on handset to get the IMEI number.

* Account Password or last four of the account holders social security number (required) * For prepaid costumers this can be the last four of your mobile number of your To Go pin code number, xxxx.

* Customer contact number or email address. xxx-xxx-xxxx or xxx@msn.com

* Make and model of the mobile handset. ie: Nokia 6030

* Carriers name if the handset is from another carrier. ie: at&t ( please note that TMobile is not required to provide unlock requests from other carriers, but has been reported to do so for a few of their customers.

* A brief reason for the unlock request. ie; traveling abroad.

I just called T-Mobile and they are going to send an unlock code for my Nokia 6030. I had service for 95 days and added a card 15 days ago.

My question is this. I went on a site that was offering free unlock codes for Nokia phones. I entered my IMIE and got back about 10 possible codes. There was the suggested one I tried first. It did not work and then it said to try the first code on the list. It did not work and it said not to try any more codes so I didn't. The phone still works.

When I get the code from T-Mobile how will my entering two refused codes seven days ago affect my ability to enter another code? Do I get one more chance, have I used them all up or does the number reset after a time?

Well I can see that the entire group was concerned about my plight. All can rest comfortably tonight, the unlock code T-Mobile sent worked like a Swiss clock.

I check the list twice and was not naughty but nice. Now I have a cheap plastic phone that I can use in some -o- forsaken country. Of course I never go to -o- forsaken countries. The swamps of Jersey are good enough for me.

T-Mobile sent me another unlock code for a phone I bought on EBay for $60. It is a T-Mobil branded Samsung SGH-T-619. It still is limited in what it can do by T-Mobil. I cannot connect to my PC with Bluetooth or a cable. T-Mobil also limits what files I can down-load from third parties.

I have an unbranded unlocked Moto V180 and when I insert the same T-Mobil ToGo SIM I do not have those restrictions.
