Well the picture mail is included with the unlimited internet access of $20/month (but I only pay $10/month) and our unlimited texts are $15/month. I get this free though. They charge me $8/month, but give me a recurring text credit of $8 every month, resulting in them being free.

Let me say that I only pay $10 for my internet/pic mail because I have multiple lines on my account. The first line (my husband's line) pays full price of $20, but I only pay half price.
It's that way for any additional add-ons. Or at least it was. I don't think they offer the 1/2 off discounts on multiple lines any longer. |

That would be nice if they still did that. But I'm happy with my Unlimited Messaging for Families on all 4 lines for $9.99/mo (grandfathered; now $19.99/mo), and Unlimited T-mo Web (Unlimited Internet for me) for $4.99/mo on 1 line (grandfathered; now $5.99/mo). |

Yup... now if they only had a cheaper plan for 2000 Minute Family Plan than $99.99! :phone: But I guess you can't have it all... ;) |

Sprint already raised the ppu text rates to .15, but until the end of the month, they are offering unlimited texting on one line for 10 a month, 20 a month for family plans. If you bank through a credit union, you are entitled to a 10 percent discount on your monthly bill. Heck, if you work at Home Depot or Sears, you get 25% off monthly...So there are many ways to counteract the slight rate hike....

I work at a large hospital, and there is no discounts available there through any of the wireless carriers. I've already looked into it.

What is your position? You would be surprised what kind of discounts you could be eligible for...
If one can get %10 off just by banking at a credit union, we can find a way to save you some loot, MP, if you are interested..... Last edited by paddyoc_aka_godofsales; 03-14-2007 at 05:28 PM. Reason: Typo, add more info.... |

Does this only apply to Sprint? Right now I'm happy with the GSM coverage that I get.

Yeah, the credit union (ANY credit union) discount is only for Sprint... as far as I know of. Specific credit unions (or businesses) may have discounts with other carriers, but you have to be an employee or member of that specific business to qualify for any sort of discounts... :(

I know Sprint provides discount to military personnel, and at&t provides workphone
but I am not interested in if Sprint uses GSM/UMTS, I may jump because I can get military discount |

T-mobile SMS costs rising!!!
From my "sources" I have read that effective June 1, T-mobile will be raising their pay-per-use SMS rates to .15 cents following the suit of the other three carriers. No word on what effect this might have to contract customers.
Customers with text packages will not be effected by this change. |

Any idea whether this change will be applied to TMo2Go customers as well as contract customers?
