verizon dsl wireless drops connecton?

I have a westell 327 wireless router. When I receive a phone call and pick up on my cordless phone I loose my internet connection but I pick up the next available connection in my area. Why does my connection drop when I answer the phone.

The filter to that phone jack is bad.

Because you forgot to put the filter in the line goin to the phone or your wireless phone operates at a frequency that affects your wireless connection.
