People sign a contract for the same reason that you chose to use tracfone service, because it fits their needs.

Which unfortunately most of us are not though I begin to wish more and more I wasn't on my phone nearly as often or as long as I typically am. I've given this information to a friend of mine who happens to be in law school. He also believes that getting out of the contract should be easy enough and as soon as he receives the notice in the mail he will be contacting Verizon to see what he can do.

I should clarify arigold - I only had an academic interest in Verizon contracts - I have no current contract phones, only past history.

Thread's almost a week old but I have to say - though I'm not supposed to ;) - we are actually letting people out of contracts for the txt messaging increase.
