why when i try to make a call on my virgin mobile cell phone it say welcome to american roaming please enter the number you wish to dial then it say your call will be billed at $1.99 and $2.93 what is wrong with my cell phone

Your carrier is forwarding your outbound calls incorrectly, or you're using a phone that isn't registered to a cellular carrier.You will need to get help from the Customer Service Dept. of your cellular carrier. You should make the call that will cause the failure, then call the Cust. Svc. people. They will pull your call record, and get it to their translations people.Customer Service will give you a case (or ticket) number. Keep the number, and ask for a phone number where you can call for updates on the case (or ticket). It won't hurt if you called for an update everyday, until you get the resolution.
