Virgin Mobile?

I am planning to get a virgin mobile cause its cheaper than verizon.It says i can use topup card without monthly fees or any contracts. So if i get a $40 card and i use it for 2 month and i only pay like 20 for a month without any other fees? what about long distance and weekends?

long distance (within the u.s.) and weekends are same rate as all other calls - either a flat 18 cents a minute or the other plan which is a monthly 6.99 then 10 cents per minute all the time.

the only other requirement on virgin is that you "top up" 20 bucks every 90 days which isn't asking too much ;) they'll send you reminders when you need to top up also
